4th International Waves Cup Kiel Germany
March 24th 2012

Kiel / Germany

7 nations - 20 teams - 100 gymnasts

This it was - the third International Waves Cup 2011. Our competition is growing and growing - both in terms of the level, as well as the number of participants is concerned. And so we can look forward to a thoroughly successful international competition, which was adopted by all participants well. The audience was offered a lot. So not only the wonderful gymnasts from St. Petersburg Pearl caused enthusiasm, but also all the other gymnasts impressed with outstanding performances. And caused by the so well organized leading of the competition (thanks Margaret!) and the quickly evaluating judges, we made it even faster than planned, but still went quite relaxed through the tournament.

PreJuniors 2001

Some viewers got a little bit confused about the PreJunior competition 2001, because the two best gymnasts were namely the identical twins Mariya and Anastasia Sergeeva from St. Petersburg (RUS). Both, however, the third-placed gymnast from Wattenscheid (GER) Alina Kryvytska as well showed really amazing exercises. Beautiful choreographies, accurately adapted to the music. That was just great to see. And directly in the middle of these distinguished gymnasts there performed our Diana Basil. Although still quite weakened by an influenzal infection she really convinced. The reward was a superb range six.

PreJuniors 2000

In this age category Danielle Primak (GER) controlled the field. She finished ahead of Lisa-Marie Brückner (GER) and the expressive Mariya Chornaokaya (GER).

PreJuniors 1999

This age category was expected to be dominated by three outstanding gymnasts from St. Petersburg Pearl. They showd technical and artistic high-class exercises. "Besides" they fought a fierce battle for places on the podium, which eventually won Veronica Rudycheva in front of her teammates Anastasia Safonova and Natacha Muljukova.

Juniors 1998

Our Krisztina Gröb partticipated the first time after a long injury break and despite some unimportant instabilities she did really well. So she reached an excellent second place. But the first place on the podium belonged to the convincing swedish gymnast Josefina Olsson (Landskrona Kvinnliga GF). Irada Zeinalova (GER) reached the third place.

Juniors 1997

In this age category the german gymnasts achieved a triple success. Here, the elegant Gina Bilinski could very well prevail against her two teammates Julia and Olga Stavickaja Hilke Witsch.

Juniors 1996

Nastasia Schulz (GER) won. Second was the swedish Paulina Gunnarson (GF Uppsalaflickorna) in front of our Lara Sophie Barche.

A gala was not planned. But almost by itself developed a kind of mini gala with a very beautiful show by the girls from Berlin with lots of chinese flexible girls and a great gala of Irada Zeinalova (TV Wattenscheid). From our club Aglaja and Michelle and Lara Sophie and Krissi performed really nice duos. We will consider if we expand - but it depends on the number of participants, because we are now actually already at the time limit. We want to thank all delegations for their participation! The competition made a lot of fun - and hopefully we will meet at the next Waves Cup.

A warm thank you to all the organizers, volunteers and the guests of honor for their appearance.

Dear Kieler TB team: Once again a loud thank you. You were - as always - great.
